My 1st Blog Post Regarding Accounting Information System(DAC2104) Mini Blogging Project

WEEK 2

Happy blogging and hope this pioneer Accounting Information System (DAC2104) Mini Blogging Project will meet it's original objective and successfully implemented for the May 2012 session.

My first Accounting Information System (AIS) class was on 12 June 2012. Like usual , it was held just to give us some ideas about the subject . We study AIS in MSU with extra credit hour and other subject to learn the theory and the application of this system. We learn the theory from Mdm Fatimatul Hasanah and for the lab session we learn from  Sir Noreffendy and he is from Accounting & Finance department .


Actually, the first thing is what is AIS??

As we know,

Accounting Information System (AIS) is an important subject for students of Degree in Accountancy, especially on the subject of User Business System (UBS). In AIS, a lot of useful theory can be used for the present and future and for the sake of our knowledge and also working. As for me and my friends, we enjoying the class of UBS because I can increase the knowledge of accounting and it is also an easy system and fast. I should make use of the knowledge i had gained for myself and probably when i get a job later.


you all know what is the objective of AIS
so let's go search in google....

  The objective of AIS is to provides accurate and timely financial information for internal management purposes.

 While these system can include paper manual and ledger, most system in today's business environment are built upon accounting software programs or applications. 

These system provide financial or operational reports for business owners to make decision.

 An AIS can also integrate and fulfill departmental and company-wide objectives.

On the first day,Mr. Noreffendy briefly explain to us about what we will learn on this subject.  Our lecture suggest the guide line book can we refer is " Sage UBS Accounting Work Book 2011 Edition.

In theory,we have learn from Madam Fatimatun. From introduction, we learn what is information system and what it has to do with accounting. Information system is actually a man-made system that generally consist of an integrated set of computer based and manual component established to collect, store and manage data and to provide output information to user.

    Back to the  topic, my feeling for 

this project is that it is an interesting work to do. I enjoyed it well :) It is something new for me and my friends. 

However, the contents should be accurate and compact .

I am really sure that the topics that I have been posted which is mostly about AIS subject or my code is DAC2104 has made me and my friends read more about that particular topic when searching for the information required and thus makes me understand the topic better than before..

This mini project give me many advantages because we can learn about UBS system that we use to help us do the work more efficiency. For us, this subject more interesting because we can learn how to keep in data more fast. Other than that, i'm happy because will help us to more understand about the Accounting Information System. Accounting Information System (DAC2104) study for UBS by using computer gets benefits to students. Students also can improve their skill in accounting.

Others than that,
When blogging it can help us to revise our studies 

and to do the assignment. It is easier for us during the examinaton and quizes.


To conclude, using UBS Accounting System is not that hard as long as you have a strong accounting basic which is vital. You just need to key in the transactions systematically. 
remember where to go and what to do and do practice a lot to make it easier. 

I hope that i can really do well for this subject :)
